Star Wars Convention Video

Here is a link to our Day at the Star Wars Convention that we went to this summer in LA.

New Star Wars TV Show in the works

Well its offical. Lucas has annouced that there will be Star Wars long after May 19th, 2005. A new TV show is in the works that will take place between Episode III and IV.

I am totally all over this now. At first I was not because I was not sure what era that the show would be based on. If it was after Jedi, it would suck because without Vader and the Empire there really is no Star Wars. However, having the show between Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope, we will have a ton of cool stuff. This will be really about the rebels starting off, Vader hunting down all the Jedi, the rise of the Empire etc. Now this is Star Wars.

The only thing is that we probably will not see the first show until sometime in 2007/2008. He plans on shooting the entire first season at one time. He also plans on stepping away from the project and let other run with it. I think this could be a good thing. Get someone in there who is a devoted Star Wars Fan. HMMM….Kevin Smith!!! (My choice)

I almost missed getting tickets for Star Wars Episode III

Well for those who don’t know me I am huge Stars Wars fan. Yeah the last two movies were not as good as the first three but I still enjoyed them.

Regardless of that, I have been going to the midnight showing for the last two episodes. Advanced tickets went on sale early this week and I figured it was still a month away, that nobody has been buying tickets yet! WRONG!

That day my RSS reader recieved the latest feed from slashdot that most theaters have sold out Star Wars for the midnight showing. I quickly jumped onto Fandango, searched for my city and found the midnight showing. WHEW! SHITTTTT! It’s sold out. NO WAY! I HAVE VERY BAD FEELING ABOUT THIS! But I did notice that they had another link for the same show time. I quickly clicked on that one and I was able to get 4 tickets!

Five minutes later and both theaters were sold out! Man that was too close!

What really saved the day is using an RSS Reader like Pulp Fiction! If I had subscribed to slashdots feed, I would not have known about how quickly the seats were selling out! Thank you Pulp Fiction and thank you Slashdot!
