I almost missed getting tickets for Star Wars Episode III

Well for those who don’t know me I am huge Stars Wars fan. Yeah the last two movies were not as good as the first three but I still enjoyed them.

Regardless of that, I have been going to the midnight showing for the last two episodes. Advanced tickets went on sale early this week and I figured it was still a month away, that nobody has been buying tickets yet! WRONG!

That day my RSS reader recieved the latest feed from slashdot that most theaters have sold out Star Wars for the midnight showing. I quickly jumped onto Fandango, searched for my city and found the midnight showing. WHEW! SHITTTTT! It’s sold out. NO WAY! I HAVE VERY BAD FEELING ABOUT THIS! But I did notice that they had another link for the same show time. I quickly clicked on that one and I was able to get 4 tickets!

Five minutes later and both theaters were sold out! Man that was too close!

What really saved the day is using an RSS Reader like Pulp Fiction! If I had subscribed to slashdots feed, I would not have known about how quickly the seats were selling out! Thank you Pulp Fiction and thank you Slashdot!
